Jay Graham
A pickleball injury brought Jay Graham to Vibra Rehabilitation Hospital of Amarillo. Before his injury, Jay kept physically active first by golfing, later adding pickleball to the mix. He also was active in the community, working and driving.
The injury Jay suffered was a left tibial plateau fracture. He admitted to BSA Hospital and underwent surgery, then transferred to Vibra for post-surgical rehabilitation.
Jay credits his recovery to the entire Vibra staff. “Physical therapy and occupational therapy encouraged me to work hard and knew how to motivate me,” Jay said. His therapy team also prepared him for transitioning to a home setting. Abbie, a nurse practitioner, worked with Jay to develop a pain management regimen, as well. Jay is pleased to be walking with the use of a walker now, and looks forward to continuing to make gains in his recovery.
