Before her injury, Nancy McCutchen lived a fairly active life in a retirement village. She would go for daily walks with her dog and worked part-time. She was completely independent.
While taking her dog for a walk one day, Nancy slipped on some ice and fell, suffering an injury. “I heard my knee pop and my arm hurt, so I knew I was in trouble,” she said. After surgery, Nancy was told she would need rehabilitation. She asked her family about facilities they would recommend and they all said Vibra Rehabilitation Hospital of Amarillo.
In Nancy’s opinion, the biggest factor in her recovery was Vibra’s physical therapists. “They push you just enough, but not too much that it hurts you.”
Nancy was motivated to return home to her dog and to get back to her part-time job. She was more than willing to do what was asked of her to get back home. “I made a lot more progress than I thought I would, and saw improvement every day,” Nancy noted.
